The story behind Sanasella

Designed by a hairdresser who knew the pain

After ten years of pain and physiotherapy, Lena Staddeland was considering leaving hairdressing. She loved her job, so she started working on a chair that would help her keep working. Her father helped develop it alongside Norwegian hairdressers, ergonomics specialists and physiotherapists, with support from Innovation Norway. Today, every Sanasella chair is handmade in Lyngdal, Norway.
